BF4: US Recon

BF4: US Recon by [sM] SneakyPete

Danny Parish ( [sM] SneakyPete) makes the best modern warfare-related video game figures I've seen using simple combos and paint. His uses of Tiny Tactical, CitizenBrick, EclipseGrafx, and Brickarms are always great and look very nice together. He has recently been making several of the classes from BattleField 4 and is off to a great start. The Recon Class is one of my favorite classes in the game so far (only played a little bit), and Danny has done a great job of creating the class in LEGO. He used Tiny Tactical pieces to make the vest, modified a black LEGO ninja hood, and used a new (unreleased) CitizenBrick torso for the arms and (I think, I can see it :P) torso. This is one of his more simple figs, but one of my favorites from him.

Спецназ--Full Flora Fig and AKM

When I saw Detroitika's latest fig I was blown away. The level of detail in it is freakin' insane! From the removable clip on the gun to the custom sculpted gloves, this fig just looks stunning. I just love the camo pattern on the fig and how clean and well painted it looks, and the weathering on the gun looks very nice, as well. But the gloves and boots are definitely my favorite parts. The gloves are sculpted by Detroitika himself, and have so much detail in them that I literally did a double-take when I saw them. I thought they were painted! And the boots I thought exactly the same of until I looked back at them! This fig just incredible.

Misery One

Misery One, a photo by Saint_Zvlkx on Flickr.

Saint_Zvlkx/Kalon always makes me jealous of his tiny tactical, citizenbrick, and eclipsegrafx collections with everything he posts, but he doesn't use them to make bery simple combos with no work put into them; he always makes awesome custom mods to go with the figs or paints the gear on them or the legs. I always look forward to his next post. His latest figbarf is definitely one of my favorites. The tiny tactical parts on the eclipsegrafx legs look great, the tinytactical vests he made look very clean and organized, and the mods look very cool. Great job, Kalon!

.mclovin.'s back! :D And he certainly has made an awesome fig with his return, maybe his best! The Ghille Suit looks fantastic, and very well made, the camo on the gun is just plain awesome (as is the gun itself! :D), the vest is very clean, the sculpted almost baggy looking pants look great, the camo on the paints is perfect, and the lower face mask is just awesome! Great work Chris, glad you've finally returned :)

Metro: Exploration Suit

I've been trying not to blog people twice so close to the first time I blog them, but this deserves it. Holy crap, this fig is awesome! Where to start with this fig? Well the rifle is one of the cleanest mods I've seen in a very long time, and just looks fantastic. I really like the use of the BrickWarriors ABP scope and what looks like a custom barrel. And the pistol in the Holster is incredible! Sure, it looks a tad bit small, but the paintjob on it is great! And the holster itself is definitely not to be missed! The hands are my second favorite part, though. Dang, the details on them are just stunning, and they are so detailed! It must have been very hard to paint them and sculpt them without messing them up or having to redo them. The gasmask just looks great, the merge with the Lego helmet is genius, and the tupe is very well done. The paint on it looks very nice, as well. But my favorite part is the sleeves. The detail put into them is insane! And the pocket on the right shoulder is just awesome!

US Army Special Forces Soldier

General JJ may not paint very much, but they sure do make great custom minifigs using 3rd-party products! They have always been two of my favorite flickr members that don't modify parts in any way at all, yet still make utterly fantastic builds and figs that tend to leave me speechless. The combo of EclipseGrafx Delta Strike Force legs with the CitizenBrick Special Forces Torso and printed helmet looks great! And the CombatBrick vest compliments everything quite nicely. But the background scenery is also one of my favorite things about this picture/scene/vig/upload (:P). The texturing on the ground and the way the bushes are set up (especially the one in the foreground of the photo) is perfect!

Future Solider

Future Solider by A Civilian
Future Solider, a photo by A Civilian on Flickr.
A Civilian hasn't posted any new custom minifigures in a little while, but this new upload of his excuses his lack of custom figs for sure :P A Civilian has always been great at painting camo (http://www.flickr.com/photos/theoneandonlyacivilian/8386274431/), but this reminds everyone of that in case they had forgotten. The paintjob on the AK looks very nice, and so does the vest, but what really caught my attention was the eyepiece. It's an upside-down minifig.cat headset with the microphone painted red. It's absolutely genius! If you have extra time, I definitely recommend checking out A Civilian's photostream and looking at any of his 3A Toys (?) figure pictures, painted LEGO figures, and Batman builds.

Something something modern war

KalSkirata makes some of my favorite Modern Military figs, and he still hasn't failed to deliver. Ever. I still remember looking at his stuff in late 2010. I've had him added as a contact since I joined flickr in January 2011. But this fig is one of my favorites from him. The scarf was sculpted and painted perfectly, the vest and helmet look great with the paintjob he did on them, and the camo on the legs is just awesome. I think the mod is my favorite part of this fig, though. It looks so clean and the flat black paintjob is awesome :D

LEGO Call of Duty Ghosts - Preview

So, Call of Duty Ghosts came out today (or late last night) and MGF has already made 2 epic figs from the game. Riley and... some guy from the game :P I haven't played the game yet myself, but I pre-ordered it and hope to pick it up soon! But back to the figure, Ross did a fantastic job on the mask, vest, and Riley (the dog)! The way he painted the mask looks just like it does in the game, and the vest is so clean! And the gear on Riley looks great :)

Russian Bogotyr

Russian Bogotyr, a photo by Black Sun Customs on Flickr.

Black Sun Customs is awesome. He is one of the coolest people I know on Flickr and one of the best customizers I know, too. His most recent upload definitely does anything but prove my last statement wrong (yay, rambling). The helmet, arms, and legs look great! And the combos on the fig aren't half bad either ;P

Operator

Operator, a photo by --[Ravager]-- on Flickr.

This fig has very simple combos, but very nice combos, as well :) The combination of the BrickMoc hips and EG legs is great! And the minifig.cat vest's colors match the EG legs and Vector very well.

160th SOAR: Night Stalker Pilot

Holy crap. This is one of the most detailed figs I have ever seen. Richard Goff (R.Goff1) is one of the most incredible minifig makers I have seen on flickr. From the patch on the right arm to the shoes on the feet, this fig is incredible. The skull design on the mask looks great, as do the mods on the gun. And the custom made bits are just the icing on the cake! I can't wait to see more figs from him soon :)

A Murder of Black Crows

These figs are incredible! Hammerstein NWC always makes really cool figs, and these are no exception! He always uses third-party vendors' products in unique and innovative ways. The Bow that the Archer is wielding looks fantastic! The combos on the Executuioner are simple, but very effective. I think my favorite is Evall Falcao. Every part of him is perfect! The BrickWarriors Arm Guards with Shoulder Spikes look great with the lego helmet and whatever cape that is (:P)!

Fun times.

Confuzzled Apples uses Arealight products in the best ways possible and always make incredible figs. These figs here all have brightly colored Arealight products incorporated into their design and look great! I think the far right fig is my favorite. Lime. :3

Justice Kids

I have been excited about Eclipsegrafx's Justice Kids project since I first heard about it in March and have been slowly counting down the days until it arrived. Needless to say, I am way more than impressed (as always ;) ). These figures all look fantastic. I love all of the figures and really wish I had pre-ordered all of them so I could have gotten the Weapon Kr fig, but unfortunately I was broke at the time of the pre-order and wasn't able to :c But I am definitely at least going to get Robin, Artemis, and Kid Flash. Or Red Wing, Artemisa, and Kid Speedster :P I can't wait to order these when they are available :D They will be available at www.eclipsebricks.com soon :D

Dead Space 3

Dead Space 3 by Geoshift
Dead Space 3, a photo by Geoshift on Flickr.

Geoshift is going to break my jaw someday. Why? Because it always shoots to the ground whenever he posts a new figure. Seriously, he is one of my favorite and one of the best painters on Flickr. This figure is incredible, the paint job on the Brick Affliction armor is absolutely fantastic. I always love seeing Geoshift's figures, because they always look so incredible and are so detailed. The washes on the, are fantastic, and the custom parts that he mods are epic. Seriously, the gun here is awesome!

Super Tactile Figure

Super Tactile Figure by [Banjax]
Super Tactile Figure, a photo by [Banjax] on Flickr.

This fig is so cool. I love Banjax's figs. They're always epic and have great combos, but are nowhere near as good as his bionicle figs (I mean that in a good way :P) . But I love this fig! The combos are great, and not too complicated or detailed and the color scheme is nice. I also like what he did with the Minecraft sword. I never would have thought of doing that, so massive NPU :D I also love how the torso and head look together :D

mercz

mercz, a photo by KevinSmithhurrrdurrr on Flickr.

Kevin iz the coolest 12-tear-old I know :3 And he makes good figs. With good combos. And he's a pretty good painter who is getting better with every upload. But these figures are definitely some of my favorites from him. I love the vest and the mud/dirt/blood on the guy on the far right, and any fig with that face is already a win, so the sleeves and torso and legs are just the icing on the cake. And the fig on the far left is even better! The rolled up sleeves are great, the Halo SMG mod is very clean, and the paintjob on the legs is, too. Overall these figs are really cool. Great job, kevin!

CS:GO Factions

CS:GO Factions, a photo by [sM] SneakyPete on Flickr.

Danny (SneakyPete) has always made Great figures and mods from video games. He has mostly done Battlefield 3 stuff, but recently he has been doing some CounterStrike: Global Offensive, and DANG. His figs always look great, and these are no exception. The Use of CitizenBrick and EclipseGrafx parts are really cool, and the Tiny Tactical Vest mods look great. I love the far left two vests and figs and the far right fig, but I think the left fig on the right half of the photo looks a tad bit bland. But not in a bad way, it just doesn't look as packed with details as the other figs. Great job, either way. :)

Спецназ--Full Surpat Spetsnaz Fig

Detroitika is one of my favorite sculptors and painters on flickr. Just look at the digital camo pattern on this fig. I haven't seen anyone do anything like it before or as small and detailed as this before. And the sculpting on the vest is incredible and very well detailed. The sculpting on the boots is very nice, and the balaclava looks great, too! And the shoulder patch is ridiculously cool. Detroitika also casts and sells some of his custom sculpted parts on flickr, and I really hope to buy some things from him in the near future.

LEGO SWAT Armory and Ready Room

I have always wanted to make something like this, but never have enough bricks and I only order once every six months and usually end up getting thirty different things instead of thirty of one thing, so I could never make this happen. But luckily, someone else can and I can stare at this picture for a while. This is seriously awesome, though. The furniture and gear racks and storage systems are very well built and designed, and the build itself is somehow even better! :D The use of CitizenBrick tiles and Lego City tiles really adds a lot of detail to the furniture items, and the printed BrickForge SWAT gear is just plain awesome!

Lego Iron Man Hearbreaker Suit

If you saw even part of a trailer for Iron Man 3 you probably know what this is. Even though it had a short amount of screen time, it is still one of my favorite suits that was in the movie, and Tuminio on flickr managed to make a perfect recreation of the suit in Lego form! He used armor made by Breakthrough Army that looks very detailed. I happen to own Iron Man and Iron Patriot painted armor sets by Breakthrough Army, and the only con I can see with them is that they are sculpted by Hazel. But, back on the topic of this awesome figure, the painting is flawless. The editing is great, too! :) But the stand is the icing on the cake, I know very few people that can make stands like that that look good.

TEST SHOT

TEST SHOT by Bowbrick
TEST SHOT, a photo by Bowbrick on Flickr.

I love EclipseGrafx. and I love BrickMoc. And I love Bowbrick's figs. This figure combines all three of them in a flippin awesome way. Bowbrick has always made great figs, weather he customizes them or not, and this fig is no exception. The sleves go great with the vest and head, and the colors on the BrickMoc legs and EclipseGrafx head match perfectly. Great job, Bowbrick! :D

Young Marcus Fenix

Young Marcus Fenix by pecovam
Young Marcus Fenix, a photo by pecovam on Flickr.

Holy crud. This figure of Young Marcus Fenix from Gears of War by pecovam on flickr is flipping incredible. The painting and sculpting here is top notch. The decal application and design is great, as well. The kneepads are incredible and the arms are as well. But my favorite part of this (paint-job wise) is the bandanna. It looks awesome! :D And the armor is just incredibly detailed. I was nearly speechless by this and keep forgetting what I was going to type everytime I look back at the fig, so I'll just end the post before I say something stupid or random like this...

This is an awesome custom figure by Commander Wolffe on flickr of a US Engineer from Battlefield 3. Yes, I'm Captain Obvious. Yay. But anyway, this fig is great! The camo is incredible and very well done, the vest looks great, and those sleeves are awesome! The gloves look slightly messy, but it's better than anything I've ever done. (It's my blog, I can self-promote whenever I want to :3) The only thing that bugs me are the eyes and shotgun shells. I wish the shotgun shells were painted gold on the tops and I wish the eyes didn't stare into my soul. But, again, this is better than anything I've ever done.

I just got some BrickMoc prints at BBTB and I have to say, these things are incredible! :D The printing quality is great and the designs are awesome! They go great with EclipseGrafx parts, too :D
This is my blog. I get bored a lot and like to talk to myself, so I figured, "Lot's of other people like that have blogs, so why don't I make one?". Then I remembered how I have had 3 other blogs, 2 other websites, 1 vimeo account, and 1 alternate Flickr account that I abandoned. So this will probably have nothing posted on it for a while soon. Unless filters. Everyone on Flickr seems to get mad when I use pretty much every one of picmonkey's filters in one photo, so I've decided I'll post all of the stuff I make by messing around in picmonkey with to this blog. I might also blog some stuff if I'm really bored, but I'm home-schooled, so that means I'll definitely blog stuff. Hooray for free time! :D
